KITCHEN Countertops

Today countertops come in vast varieties of materials, types, styles and colors .

Solid surface countertops come in the widest variety materials and colors and is the only choice that will allow the proper use of a bottom mount sink

Laminate countertops are still a good choice if the budget is a big consideration

Tile counters generally the choice of the do it your selfer, although they can look good if done correctly. Tile may be best suited for the floor and Tile Backslashes.

ENGINEERED STONE OR QUARTZ COUNTERTOPS
This countertop material is nonporous, commonly composed of 90 percent or more quartz particles that are bonded together by resins. It is much more stain resistant than granite, and being nonporous, there is no need to seal it like granite. It is a highly durable material and is available in a large choice of colors.

ACRYLIC SOLID SURFACE COUNTERTOPS
The advantage to this type of countertop over a laminate material, is that it's solid, and scratches can be sanded out if necessary. LAMINATE COUNTERTOPS
Laminate countertops are probably the most common tops used for years due to their affordable price. Made of resin coated synthetics and available in vast variety of colors, textures and edge styles, they combine beauty, durability, easy maintenance with affordability. Laminate tops are available as post-form or in custom styles which include square, bevel, or wood edge.

Post-form laminate countertops are pre-fabricated and have rolled front edges and backsplashes.

Custom style countertops are available in the greatest number of colors, they may be customized for almost any kitchen installation. Custom countertops may be made with a square edge, beveled edge, or wood edge.

NATURAL STONE

Granite Countertops
Granite has been the material of choice in many kitchens and baths in the last decade or two. It is a natural stone that is available in many beautiful colors and will enhance any kitchen and add to its value. Being a natural stone, granite offers a very wide variety of unique patterns, grains and color variations. Granite is porous and it is recommended that it be periodically sealed to avoid staining, but with a little care it will last a lifetime.
